EMPOWERING TSHWANE ENTREPRENEURS

EMPOWERING TSHWANE ENTREPRENEURS

Since the onset of COVID-19, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has been actively supporting aspiring entrepreneurs by offering basic business upskilling. This initiative was made possible by lecturers donating their time to provide free quarterly one-day courses to individuals seeking to create self-employment opportunities. CTAP has since partnered with TUT to extend these efforts by giving participants access to the Give Yourself a Job (GYAJ) platform, enabling them to supplement their incomes by selling non-tangible commodities via the app. This collaboration aims to significantly increase the number of unemployed youth engaging in these opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship and economic independence within the region.
