DR. GEORGE SENOSHA

DR. GEORGE SENOSHA

CHIEF PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Dr. George Senosha made history in the 1980s as the first Black person to serve as the General Manager of the prestigious Hotel and Cabanas. His success in this role was largely attributed to his exceptional ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans, English, and various vernacular languages, enabling him to bridge cultural divides and excel in the hospitality industry.

In 1997, he transitioned to the retail sector, joining Pick n Pay as a floor manager. Within a year, his leadership abilities propelled him to the position of store manager. In 2002, he broke new ground once again by becoming the first African to own a Pick n Pay franchise. His trailblazing store quickly set the benchmark for the franchise, serving as a training center for new franchisees. Remarkably, he provided this training at no cost to the trainees, reflecting his deep commitment to mentorship and empowerment.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Dr. Senosha was recently elected District Governor of Rotary District 9400 for the 2024-2025 term, making history once again as the first Black South African to hold this position in Rotary’s 103-year history in South Africa and 117-year history globally.

As CTAP’s Ambassador, Dr. George is passionate about his association with an organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of the less privileged. In his words: “We all ought to start getting involved as active citizens and embark on socio-economic development to equip our various communities to be self-sustainable by introducing them to business opportunities that will create jobs.”

His personal motto, “Good deeds make for good business,” perfectly encapsulates his lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and community empowerment.
